Managing health and safety is an integral part of managing a business.
The safety of individuals affected by our work activities is of great importance to us.
Protecting people from injury and suffering is ultimately controlled by law but we recognise and accept a strong moral responsibility for the well-being of our employees and others who may be affected by our work. It is our philosophy that we are all actively engaged in improving safety in the workplace.
We understand that safety is not just about an organisation, it’s about all of us and how we act, taking responsibility for our own safety, and for the safety of others, proactively intervening in unsafe situations. All of which involve a stringent detailed examination of our company health & safety policy by our NEBOSH trained Health & Safety Manager to assess our mode of operation, in all aspects of our work.
This policy is never compromised.
Our people are our greatest asset and we go to great lengths to reward their service and commitment.
On completion of each job the Team Leader will present the client with a work satisfaction sheet on their hand-held device* to sign that the work has been completed to their satisfaction. Where there is an unmanned site the Team Leader will complete the work satisfaction sheet and a copy will be forwarded onto the client for their records.
Management carry out independent spot checks which are recorded and made available to the client.
This procedure maintains service levels and quality control on all contracts and gives our clients the reassurance and confirmation that the work is being carried out safely and to the agreed standard.
*Our work satisfaction sheet is installed on our operative’s hand-held devices and can be signed, uploaded and a copy attached with our invoice.
Personal protection equipment is checked by the end user each time it is used.
All of our equipment is British Safety Standard Approved and recorded on the asset register, checked and maintained at regular intervals.
Access equipment can be complex and sophisticated in its operation. It is important that it has been issued with the correct certification before being used on site.
All Clear Cleaning operatives are fully certified and hold a IPAF (International Powered Access Federation) licence to use this type of equipment.
Before a new contract can start a full risk assessment is carried out to find out the risks involved. A method statement can then be prepared to enable the team to carry out the work with a step by step outlining any potential hazards and detailing how the job will be carried out. We also supply a Rescue Plan in the event there is an incident where an operative can be rescued with a very short period of time.
The supervisors of each team have to read through the Risk Assessment/Method Statement prior to commencing work, sign off these documents to record that they have discussed each task with members within the team.
Clear Cleaning are members of many safety organisations, all of which involve a stringent detailed examination of our company health & safety policy, by outside auditors, to assess our mode of operation, in all aspects of our work. These can of course be checked with the affiliated companies and we will be happy to supply you with copies of our certificates. The Health & Safety of our operatives, clients and members of the general public is paramount. This policy is never compromised.
